1996 Saturn SC2 Turbo
2008 Saturn Sky Redline Turbo

Qahhaar Hector has been active in the automotive performance industry since the early 1990fs. Wanting to be different and stand out from the crowd of lemmings, he purchased his then new Saturn SC2 in 1996 and slowly began his task of modifying this extremely non-performance aftermarket friendly vehicle.

Over the years, more and more modifications were made until the power plateaued at 152hp to the wheels. It was now time to take it to the next level. The car was entrusted to Ian and Eric at FSR Motorsport Creation and went through a year long build which included a fully built engine and a custom turbo build. The car was debuted at the 2007 SpoCom show where they were interviewed by Speed TVfs Street Tuner Challenge.

Qahhaar spent most of the next year tuning, breaking in the engine and doing car shows. In early 2008 he commissioned Autogear Racing to build a custom big brake kit consisting of front and rear 13h cross-drilled rotors with front and rear 4 piston calipers. The bad experience of boiling brake fluid from his last road course event prompted him to make this investment. It
soon proved to be well worth the money.

In July of 2008 he brought the car out to its first ever road course event in turbo form at the Redline Time Attack Season Finale at California Speedway. Rolling in with full interior, heavy body kit and no suspension tuning, he took 2nd place in street class without event trying. In fact he left early and was told by e-mail that he had placed. This prompted Nitto Tires to sponsor him a set of NT01 tires for the 2009 season. Thanks to a deal with the magazine he writes for (LA Auto Guide) and Redline Time Attack, he, as well as one of his team mates were allowed to race the season free of charge in exchange for advertisement in the magazine.

In 2009 they had done more tuning and brought to power up to 306 at the wheels. Thanks to an unplanned off road excursion at round 2 of the Redline Time Attack series at Willow Springs, they have decided take the car to the next level yet again. The car is currently at FSR Motorsport Creations going through a whole host of upgrades to prepare it for the next Time Attack / road course race season.

Qahhaar is very active in the automotive world and competes in scores of events every year. As the president of Speed Syndicate Racing and owner of www.SpeedSyndicate.net, he is able to provide very fast photo, video and article coverage of any event he attends to the world. www.SpeedSyndicate.net currently gets about 5000 unique visitors per month and its popularity is constantly growing.

The fact that his 1996 Saturn SC2 is an unusually unique car to participate in races or shows makes it truly stand out. Being the only Saturn racing in the Redline Time Attack series it grabs tons of attention.

His current sponsors include FSR Motorsport Creations, Autogear Racing, Sebring Tuning, Energy Suspension, C2 Designs, Nitto tires, SR Motorcars, Hyper Motorsports, and Killer Glass.

His feedback is fantastic as he does everything in his power to keep his sponsors up to date on his activities and represent them in the most positive light. Please feel free to contact any or all of them for information on his feedback skills.
